A high-performance version of the contemporary Stratocaster is now available from Fender: the American Ultra Stratocaster. Fender's most recent Ultra Noiseless Vintage Strat pickups, a fingerboard with a compound radius of 10–14 inches on an easy Modern “D” neck, and S-1 switching to roll in fat neck tones on pickup positions 1 and 2, among other improvements over conventional designs, are just a few of its improvements. Don't be discouraged if you're a player with a traditional bent since the American Ultra Stratocaster is a Strat through and through. Alder or ash, depending on hue, are the standard Strat tonewoods used to construct its lightweight body, which also features a pickguard that matches the gloss poly finish. Today's players are equipped with sealed locking tuners, a 2-point Deluxe Synchronised Trem with a pop-in arm, and traditional Strat colorization with challenging contemporary intonation.
