Legendary Tone in a Versatile Lunchbox Amp
EVH amplifiers are some of the most popular amps at Sweetwater. That's why we're excited about the EVH 5150 III LBXII 15-watt electric guitar amplifier head. This diminutive monster gives you the same clean (green) and crunch (blue) channels as its bigger brothers. And you can even simulate Ed's variac trick with the power switch, taking the amp down to 3-3/4 watts for cranked tones at lower volumes. Compared with some amps trying to be all things to all people, the EVH 5150 III LBXII's focused, hard-rocking sound is a blast of fresh air.
The most versatile 5150 III LBX yet
The next evolution of the famous 5150 III platform, the LBXII is outfitted with the same green and blue channels as it's 100-watt, fire-breathing bigger brother. The green channel offers a spanky clean tone that has become popular for everything from rock to country. It's also a fantastic pedal platform. The blue channel picks up where the clean channel leaves off and is capable of the molten high gain EVH amps have made their name on. If you want a lunchbox amp with some serious firepower, the 5150 III LBXII is it.
15 all-tube watts with a 1/4 power switch
Get a mammoth rocking guitar tone, but with all the convenience of a lunchbox sized amp head that pushes 15 or 4 watts. There is no denying the power and glory of a screaming high-wattage amplifier head. But that design is simply not always a viable option. EVH has found a way to get the punch of their famed 5150 III amps into this smaller EL84-loaded head. Fifteen watts is great for almost any gig, but run the amp at 3-3/4 watts when you're rocking out at home and still want great tone at lower volumes.
Built to rock hard
