The CE24 Semi-Hollow combines the strength and durability of a bolt-on guitar with the sound quality of a semi-hollow. It is truly a unique addition to the PRS Bolt-On lineup. The body combines the classic combination of a maple top and mahogany back with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard. For a natural and addictive feel, the neck has a Pattern Thin Carve and satin-nitro finish. The electronics include a volume control and push pull tone control, along with a 3-way toggle switch. This gives you six classic sounds from PRS 85/15 pickups.
In 1988, the original CE was introduced. It offers players traditional PRS quality and design with the sparkle and snap of a bolt-on instrument.
The CE 24 Semihollow
The 2019 PRS addition, the CE 24 Semi-hollow electric guitar, has the snappy attack of an electric guitar but with a maple neck and bolt-on maple neck. TCI-tuned 85/15 pickups and an updated switching system allow you to blaze through the CE 24 Semi-hollow's versatile tonal range. This includes chimey single-coil cleans to sonic humbucker overdrive. The instrument's maple neck is fast and smooth, allowing for seamless transitions between the upper and lower frets. It also has a rosewood fingerboard that provides precision note articulation that PRS players will love. The CE 24 Semi-hollow features PRS's molded Tremolo Bridge and low-mass locking tuners for maximum expression and tuning stability. The Paul Reed Smith PRS CE 24 Semi Hollow is one of the best guitars on the market.
Playability and Irresistible Looks Make this a Must-Have
The CE 24 Semi-hollow's time-tested PRS tonewoods, a semi-hollow mahogany with one F-hole, beautiful figured maple top, and velvety rosewood fingerboard, paired with a bolt-on maple neck, give it a warm, balanced sound that is both attractive and easy to use. Guitars-USA guitarists love the instrument's lightweight, comfortable body and top carve. This allows for natural movement of your wrist and forearm for strumming and single note picking. The updated PRS CE24 Semi-hollow's bolt-on maple neck will appeal to fans of PRS's original solidbody CE Series from the 1980s through the 2000s. The guitar is similar to a Custom 24, but it has a more woody attack and sharper bite that you can really get into.
Pattern Thin Neck Profile
The CE 24 Semi-hollow has PRS's Pattern Thin Neck profile. The Pattern Thin neck shape is an updated version of the traditional wide-thin neck style. It was developed from designs Paul Reed Smith worked on for decades. The Pattern Thin neck shape suits guitarists with smaller hands and players who prefer classical left-hand positioning. They pivot with their thumb on the back of the neck. The Paul Reed Smith ce24 Semi Hollow is the total package.
The CE 24 Semi-Hollow is Versatile
The CE 24 Semi-hollow can be plugged into any amp to enjoy the clear, crisp sound of the PRS 85/15 pickups. These pickups have harmonic overtones that are reminiscent of vintage humbuckers. The 85/15 set is packed with a powerful neck pickup and bridge pickup that deliver the right amount of brightness. The CE 24 Semi-hollow offers the ultimate in tone versatility. It features a push-pull master tone control for coil splitting. This opens up a world of single-coil tones. The PRS CE24 Semi-hollow is versatile enough to handle everything from full shred to spanky cleans and everything in between.
Paul Reed Smith modified his original pickups to retain the classic design's sweet harmonics, chunky warmth, and modern output for today's players and gear. Paul and his team have perfected each set of pickups using a process called Tuned Capacitance and Inductance. The result is a musical pickup that stays true to its heritage but is modernized for the modern player.
