DIG uncovers the heart of digital delay and doubles its power. Two simultaneous, integrated delays are combined with rack delay voicings, which can be heard from the 1980s through today for an incredible expressive potential.
Create Synchronized Echoes
You can create your own world with intricate, synchronized echoes and atmospheric repeats. You can expand your sonic horizons by using five rhythmic subdivisions and three dual delay routing options. In a compact, pedalboard-friendly layout, you can go from pulsating, syncopated delay patterns to evocative echo trails.
Innovative Electronic Designs
The '80s saw rack-mount digital delays that revolutionized audio effects. These innovative electronic designs produced the most natural delays and gave rise to unique and fascinating sonic characteristics. These sounds are still as unique and inspiring thirty-plus years later.
Our thorough examination of the technology reveals the unique personalities of digital delays. DIG offers three modes of digital delay:
The adaptive delta mode in the early 1980s
The 12-bit pulse code modulation modality mode in the mid-80s
The modern high resolution 24/96 mode
These voicings can be multiplied by 2 to get DIG--your ideal dual delay partner.
DELAY 1 The Master Delay
You can easily set a delay time that runs for free, ranging from 20ms up to 1.6s using the Tap Tempo switch or Time knob. While longer delay times can create more ambient sounds, doubling and slapback effects are possible with shorter delay times.
DELAY 2 The Companion Delay
You can set the ratio between the delays using one of five rhythmic subdivisions, triplet, eighth, dotted eighth, dotted quarter, or the golden ratio. You don't need synchronization. To disable subdivisions, activate Free Mode, and Delay 2 will be its own independent, running delay. You can set Delay 1 to have a chorus/flange sound that runs alongside it.
